A 29-year-old Welland man has been arrested following an investigation into the online sexual exploitation of a child.

The investigation was launched back in February by members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit with the assistance of the Technological Crimes Unit and Peel Regional Police Service Special Victims Unit.

Travis Twain was arrested on Wednesday and charged with agreement or arrangement to commit a sexual offence against a child, make child pornography, make child pornography available and possession of a controlled substance.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday.
