Welland bank robbery suspect

Niagara police are looking for a man who tried to rob a bank in Welland Friday afternoon.

They’ve released this photo (above) of a man who walked into the “Caisse Populaire” on Empire Street with a gun.

He left the bank without any cash after a short struggle with a customer. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as white with a medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweater and jeans.

Police say the jacket may be linked to the robbery. It’s an extra-large “Amp Energy Dale Earnhardt Junior Nascar” jacket.
