Website owner charged for carrying gruesome Magnotta video

The owner of an Edmonton website has been charged for carrying the grisly video at the centre of the Luka Magnotta murder case.

Mark Marek, the operator of bestgore.com, faces one count of corrupting morals. Police claim Marek knew the video depicted a real killing when he posted it online.

He is set to appear in court on Thursday. Magnotta is to stand trial in Sptember for the murder and dismemberment of university student Jun Lin. Parts of Lin’s body were mailed across Canada. The gruesome killing made headlines around the world.
