Watermain break on James St. North in Hamilton diverts traffic

A watermain break on James St. North at the corner of Mulberry Street had drivers detouring and pedestrians hopping over and wading through puddles Wednesday afternoon.

The water flowed into the road and pedestrian and bike areas and was ankle-deep in some areas.

The break is thought to have been from ongoing construction nearby the intersection.

The area reopened Friday morning.
