Waterdown fire

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate after a fire in Waterdown Thursday morning.

The blaze started just after 7:30 in a house on Highway 5 near Flamboro Street.

Officials say it looks like the fire started on the main floor which houses a computer business and then spread to apartments upstairs.

No one was inside at the time and the business owner is away on vacation.

The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

There’s no word yet on the cost of damage.
