Waterdown Farmers’ Market open for the season

The fourth season of the Waterdown Farmers’ Market kicked off today with a focus on “Seeds of the Future”.

With more than 25 vendors on site, residents got a chance to purchase seasonal farm fresh produce and to choose from dozens of different seedlings to plant their own gardens.

Organizers said there are a number of themes planned for the market which include “Sweet Beginnings”, highlighting how well early fruits, berries and greens are paired, and “Spice it Up” which will salute flavour makers like herbs, onions and garlic.

The farmers’ market will be open every Saturday morning at 8 a.m. until October 14.
