WATCH: Police search for driver in hit-and-run on Hamilton mountain

Police have released video of a hit-and-run on the Hamilton mountain where a driver struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk and took off.

A woman was walking eastbound on Stone Church Rd. E. on Nov. 30, around 11:30 p.m.

Police say while crossing at Redmond Dr., a driver in light-coloured van struck the woman and continued travelling northbound on Redmond Dr.

The pedestrian was knocked to the ground. Eventually, she got up and walked to a nearby home and contacted paramedics. The 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hamilton Police are asking for help in identifying the vehicle.
