Premier Doug Ford will be making a virtual press conference Thursday morning.

This is Ford’s first news conference since Ontario announced new COVID-19 regulations on
Friday that drew broad criticism.

Ford has also been notably absent from the Legislature this week.

On Tuesday night, his office announced the premier was isolating at home after coming in contact with a staff member who had tested positive for COVID-19.

The premier’s office says he has tested negative for the virus, but had been in contact with the staffer on Monday.

The news conference was scheduled for 9:45 a.m. but has been pushed back to 10 a.m.
