WATCH: Ford and Horwath spar over Hydro One

Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Opposition leader Andrea Horwath traded jabs over Hydro One as MPPs returned to the Legislature.
This is the first time Members of Provincial Parliament attended Question Period since the election on June 7.
The sparks were flying quickly between Premier Ford and Horwath, who demanded details on the retirement of Hydro One CEO Mayo Schmidt.
During the campaign, Ford promised to get rid of Schmidt and the board of directors as part of a pledge to lower electricity bills.
Hydro One’s 14-member board resigned en masse earlier this month, after Schmidt’s sudden retirement.
Schmidt earned a salary of $6.2-million last year.
According to company documents, he would have been entitled to at least $10.7 million in severance if he were to be removed from his job.
Hydro One says Schmidt will not be entitled to severance because he retired.
Instead, he will receive a $400,000 lump sum payment in lieu of all post-retirement benefits.
He still stands to earn millions from deferred stock options.
