Waste samples being tested to determine content, danger
Updated The ministry of the environment is rushing samples to a Toronto lab taken from the site at 350 Wentworth Street in Hamilton.
That’s because it doesn’t know exactly what it’s found – and the concern is that it’s more hazardous waste. The property where a coal and tar company used to operate has a poor reputation. The former owner paid thousands in fines for violating the Environmental Protection Act.
