‘Walk a Mile’ fundraiser beats goal
The grand total is in! The YWCA’s Walk a Mile in her Shoes event surpassed its fundraising goal this year.
It raised $65,000 for Hamilton’s transitional living program that helps women struggling with poverty and violence.
This year, over 200 men and women, including some of CHCH’s finest, donned a pair of red heels to “walk a mile in her shoes.” The goal was to raise $50,000 for the YWCA, and fundraisers stepped up their game, outpacing expectations by $15,000.
