Wald in court

The Hamilton woman facing a number of charges after allegedly keeping her husband’s dead body in their home for months — was in court Thursday. And she did her best to avoid our camera.

Kaling Wald rushed into this waiting minivan with tinted windows outside the John Sopinka Courthouse. A man named doug stopped our cameraman from getting her picture — before getting back in to the vehicle and driving away. 50-year old Wald was charged with neglect and indignity to a body in January. Her husband – Peter Wald’s decomposing remains were discovered when a foreclosure company tried to evict the family from their home last September. Neighbours hadn’t seen him for months. Wald’s next court date is set for May 29th.
