VW Beetles recalled due to Takata airbags

Another recall linked to faulty Takata airbags has been announced, with Volkswagen recalling more than 105-thousand Beetles in the U-S. The recall covers Beetles from the 2012 through 2014 model years. The airbags can explode and hurl shrapnel into the driver, and have been linked to 27 deaths worldwide. There is no word yet from the company on whether there will be a similar recall in Canada.
