Vote on closing fire stations

Haldimand County council is expected to vote Tuesday on whether it should close three fire stations.

In an effort to save $63,000, the council may close stations in Moulton, Byng and Fisherville. The cutback would lower Haldimand’s volunteer fire force from 313 people to 259.
