Visitation is being held this afternoon for Niagara Police constable Joe Mellen, at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Fonthill.

Mellen was killed Friday morning on Highway 406 when his motorcycle collided with a car. This afternoon hundreds of Mellen’s fellow officers came out to pay their respects.

Mellen leaves behind two young children.

Visitation continues from 6 to 9 this evening. The funeral will be tomorrow morning at 11 at Faith Tabernacle in Welland.
