An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer jumped into action after a boat got away from its owners on an Ontario lake.
OPP East Region posted a video of an unoccupied boat spinning in circles on Otty Lake in Lanark County, roughly five kilometres southeast of Perth, Ont.

Police say the boat’s two passengers had been tossed into the water before the vessel went on a journey of its own.
Video captured by Judy Cowie shows OPP officers Const. Laviolette and Const. Neufeld in a small boat as they close in on the runaway vessel.
One of the officers waits for the perfect moment as the boat becomes parallel to their watercraft and makes the jump over. Cheers erupt from bystanders after the officer safely secures the boat.
Police say both passengers who ended up in the water were wearing life jackets.
No one was injured during the incident.
In a tweet, police reminded residents about the importance of wearing a personal floatation device in the water.
