Many families took advantage of the warm weather to take in some local history at Westfield Heritage Village this Victoria Day holiday.
Queen Victoria’s reign from 1837 to 1901 had a tremendous influence on our culture, and visitors had an opportunity to learn about Victorian etiquette, fashions, foods and customs in various buildings throughout the village.
Westfield is located on Kirkwall Rd off Highway 8 in Rockton.
The collection of over 30 historical buildings has made Westfield one of the most popular historical destinations in Ontario. Visitors were given a taste of the charm and spirit of early Canadian culture from staff dressed in period costumes.
