Victim’s mother crushed after convictions overturned

In 2006 Terry Auld was beaten to death with a sledgehammer in broad daylight, as neighbours were getting ready to leave for work.

Two years later two men were convicted of his murder — but those convictions have been overturned in an appeal court, and Terry Auld’s mother is devastated.
