Victim stabbed during robbery in Norfolk County: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police is searching for a robbery suspect following a stabbing in Norfolk County.

Officers responded to a Western Ave. address in Delhi just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police say the victim was approached by a stranger at the Old Rail Bridge sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

They say the victim was robbed and assaulted with an “edged weapon.”

They were taken to hospital and treated for injuries.

Police are looking for a man they described as black and was wearing a black coloured hooded sweatshirt with a bandana covering his face.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area who may have surveillance cameras to check their footage for the suspect.
