Veledrome gets monetary infusion

The proposed Milton velodrome for Pan Am 2015 has received a boost of over a half a million dollars in donations.

The money came from the eighth annual “Tour de Bleu” cycling fundraiser.

40 riders rode from Muskoka to the finish line at Milton’s Town Hall.

The event raised $550 thousand, all of it going to the proposed Mattamy Cycling Centre that’s set to be built near Louis Saint Laurent Avenue and Tremaine Road.
