Body recovered as vehicle falls into Lake Ontario

Toronto Police rescue crews have recovered the body of a man and a car that fell into Lake Ontario.
The vehicle went into the Toronto harbour at Lake Shore and Parliament near Sugar Beach, around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Emergency crews conducted a search that night but came up empty-handed.
Toronto fire officials say a bystander jumped into the water to help but was unsuccessful.
Police say the bystander was able to safely get out of the water.
Rescue crews arrived back on the scene Friday morning.
The car and a man’s body were recovered from the water.
Police say they are still investigating the man’s identity and how the car ended up in the lake.
