A man driving an alleged stolen vehicle crashed in a plaza parking lot in Burlington Thursday night after Halton police popped the vehicle’s tires.

Police said they noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Prospect Street and Brant Street, which then tried to get away from officers.

A spike strip was used, which is a tire deflation device, and the car’s tires were popped, sending it into the front of Maplewood Market located at 796 Brant St.
