Public health officials say dozens of cases of COVID-19 have been linked to a large wedding in Vaughan earlier this month.
York Region Public Health says the wedding events took place at the Avani Event Centre in Vaughan on Oct. 14 and Oct. 18.
More than 100 people attended.
Officials say they were notified of the first confirmed case associated with the wedding on Monday.
They’ve since identified 44 cases of COVID-19.
- York Region Public Health: 5 cases
- Peel Region Public Health: 31 cases
- Wellington Dufferin Guelph Health Unit: 2 cases
- Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit: 1 case

Anyone who attended is asked to self-isolate until next Monday – two weeks following the date of the wedding.
The last wedding event took place the day before the province put York Region under modified Stage 2 restrictions.
Those restrictions include limiting the number of people at indoor private events or social gatherings to 10.
