Vatican: Pope Francis’ condition shows signs of improvement

The Vatican says Pope Francis is showing further signs of improvement as his battle with double pneumonia continues.
Despite the positive signs, his doctors still say his prognosis is guarded.
According to a Vatican update, a CT chest scan taken Tuesday evening showed the “normal evolution” of an infection as it is being treated.
Blood tests have confirmed an improvement, and the slight kidney insufficiency that was noted a few days ago has also receded.
Francis is receiving respiratory physiotherapy to help get rid of the fluid in his lungs.
The pope resumed some work activities Wednesday afternoon after receiving the Eucharist in the morning.
