Trudeau did not mention China by name, but that the US and Canada will carefully monitor China to prevent it from dumping cheap steel into their market.

Today’s announcement may mean that the US will support Canada on issues like the detention of businessman Michael Spavor and former diplomat, Michael Kovrig, as well as China’s barring of Canadian canola.
