Upcoming construction to close core intersection in Lincoln

The intersection of Ontario and King Streets in the Town of Lincoln will be closed for a few weeks in March for major construction.

From March 3 to 14, the intersection will be closed to all vehicular traffic, as the first final connection to the existing sanitary main and manholes are installed.

Drivers are asked to take detours along Durham and Bartlett Roads while construction takes place.

Businesses and residents along Ontario Street will have access up to North Lane, but not through the intersection.

Lincoln Avenue will also be open during the construction.

The town says construction working hours will typically fall between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday to Friday.

All businesses along the affected routes will remain open during construction.
