In the battle for Kyiv, Ukrainian forces are holding the Russian military to the northwest of the city

There was heavy fighting northwest of Kyiv today, near the front end of a Russian column of armored vehicles headed for the capital.

Western intelligence says the column has barely moved in days, but Russian attacks on the city’s outskirts are killing civilians and destroying homes.

A man from Grimsby who lives in Kyiv says the Russians are running short of supplies.
