U.S. and U.K. bomb several Iranian-backed Houthis sites

U.S. and U.K. officials have bombed multiple Iranian-backed Houthis military sites across Yemen, according to U.S. officials.

American authorities say the targeted locations housed strategic resources, such as munitions depots and production facilities, late Thursday night.
The decision to bomb the sites comes in response to the recent use of drones to attack several commercial ships in the Red Sea.
President Joe Biden said that the U.S. “will not tolerate” the group’s attacks.
Tensions escalated in the region following the start of the Israel-Hamas war.
The Red Sea is one of the most travelled waterways in the world.
