Two teens charged after pedestrians struck with paintballs outside Acton Arena

Halton police say two teenage boys are facing charges after multiple people were struck with paintballs outside the Acton Arena on Saturday, April 23.

Police say around 9:30 p.m. they were called to the arena near Queen Street East and Tanner Drive. Officers received reports that occupants in a vehicle were shooting paintballs at pedestrians.

The vehicle left the area but returned a short time later and began shooting paint balls again, targeting people on foot.

Police say two victims were struck by the paint balls, causing injuries.

The vehicle was eventually located and the two teens were arrested.

A 15-year-old from Georgetown and a 16-year-old from Halton Hills have been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both of the teenagers were released on Undertaking.

Police say two paintball guns, numerous paintballs and other paintball gun equipment were seized.
