Man stabbed, woman injured during attack in Hamilton’s west end

Hamilton police are investigating after two teenagers were injured during a home invasion in the city’s west end.

Officers were called to a home on Bowman St. just before midnight Sunday.

Police say the man and woman were assaulted after they opened their door and found three masked males.

The trio forced their way inside the house and sprayed an aerosol irritant at the 19-year-old woman.

The suspects then attacked a 19-year-old man with a knife. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries from the irritant.

The suspects left on foot and may have fled in a silver vehicle.

Police believe the incident was targeted in relation to a disturbance that took place at the residence the night before. They say there is no concern for public safety.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.
