Two shot in Hamilton’s north end

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a late-afternoon shooting in north Hamilton.

Just before six police responded to a call about a shooting on Milton Avenue, near Barton and Wentworth, close to the old Siemens plant.

Initially there was one person reported shot, but then police called for a second ambulance. Early reports have one man suffering three gun shot wounds and one person who was shot in the back. Both people have been taken to Hamilton General Hospital.

Police have one woman in custody.
