Two men arrested in stabbing in Fort Erie: Niagara police

Two men have been arrested and charged in a stabbing at a Fort Erie home.

Niagara police and paramedics were called to a stabbing at a home in the area of Highland Ave. and Central Ave. around 10 p.m. Thursday.

A 52-year-old man was taken to an out-of-town hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police say two men were arrested a short time later.

Two Fort Erie men, Steven Strauss, 36, and Matt Ward, 43, have been charged with aggravated assault. Ward also faces two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Police say this was a targeted incident and they aren’t looking for anyone else.
