Two men arrested after Hindu temple in Halton Hills vandalized

Halton police have arrested two men in connection to a vandalism incident at the Sri Krishna Brundavana Temple in Georgetown.

According to police, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts were seen leaving a pub in the downtown area before walking to the Sri Krishna Brundavana Temple on March 30.

Surveillance footage captured the two men ripping down and damaging a sign at the front of the temple.

Matthew Maciejko, 24, and Nathan Pobgee, 25, of Halton Hills have been charged with mischief under $5,000.

Officers say the pair turned themselves in, and were released with a future court date in Milton.
