Two dead in Wasaga beach drowning

Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that two people have drowned off the shores of Wasaga beach.
The Wasaga Fire Chief says two men, believed to be in their mid twenties, were in an inflatable boat in rough water conditions in the bay near the mouth of the Nottawasaga River when it overturned. Chief Mike McWilliam says witnesses on the shore saw the men struggling in the waves and then disappear.
Firefighters, police and Ontario parks searched the water around 1 this afternoon and recovered the men. CPR was attempted by paramedics but they did not survive.
