Two dead following early morning shooting in Brantford

Two people are dead following an early morning shooting in Brantford.

Police were called to a home on Park Rd. South around 7:55 a.m. Thursday.

Officers found a male and female victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were treated by emergency medical services but were later pronounced dead.

The victims’ identities are not being released until next of kin has been notified.

The area will be closed to the public while members of the Brantford Police Major Crime Unit investigate the incident.

Police believe the shooting was targeted.
