Two charged in Burlington break-ins

A mother and son have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a Burlington home and stealing jewellery.

Police were called to Cavendish Drive last week and found a home with the front door forced open and several pieces of jewellery missing. They arrested the pair at a nearby residence and searched a motel where they found more stolen items from other break-ins. 57-year-old Christine Smerdon and 31-year old Vezio Cardullo are facing several charges.
