Two Hamilton men have been charged after an expensive vandalism spree.
Police say they were disguised as painters and broke into the GO train layover yard on Hamilton’s Hunter St E. They spray painted a GO train, then took selfies of the damage.
Hamilton Police and GO Transit police caught up with them after setting up a perimeter with the canine unit.
GO Transit police say the damage could top half a million dollars. They say there’s been vandalism of GO trains all over the GTA.
It’s something they’re really cracking down on ahead of the Pan Am games because they want the trains to look their best for thousands of spectators and athletes.
