Two Brantford teens charged in social media “fight club”

Two teenage girls have have been charged with assault in what police are calling a social media “fight club.”
A parent called Brantford police on Tuesday to report that his 13-year-old daughter had been the victim of a series of assaults.
She received medical attention for her injuries.
Police say their investigation revealed the existence of an online fight club.
They say consensual and non-consensual fights between young people in the city are being recorded and posted on social media.
A 13-year-old girl from Brantford faces three counts of assault.
Another girl, 14, also from Brantford has been charged with one count of assault.
Police are reminding parents about the importance of monitoring their kids’ online activity.
