Two arrested in Port Colborne homicide, third suspect wanted

Niagara Regional Police continue to search for one more suspect in connection with a summer homicide, a 47-year-old man was arrested.  Adam Sanvido, the victim’s older brother, describes his little brother, Daniel, as a loving father of two sons who loved music.

On August 24th, Sanvido’s body was found in a ditch in the area of Forks Road and Highway 140, a rural area in Port Colborne. Adam says he was devastated by the news.

47-year-old Jacob Cudney of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Following the arrest of 36-year-old Jade Hayward of St. Catharines, who has also been charged with first-degree murder, one suspect remains at large: 47-year-old Richard Stevens of Niagara Falls.

After months of no answers, Adam says these arrests are a step in the right direction toward justice being served.

As for the two suspects, there is no word on whether they have been released on bail or remain in custody. As for 47-year-old Richard Stevens, who remains at large, Niagara Regional Police say he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
