Two arrested in Oakville drug trafficking investigation

Two people have been arrested in a drug trafficking investigation in Oakville.

Halton police say the investigating began on Wednesday. During the investigation, two suspects were identified, and investigators executed a search warrant on a residence in Oakville Thursday.

During the warrant, police found 11.2 grams of fentanyl, 9.8 grams of methamphetamine, and 4.6 grams of cocaine.

They also found a rifle, ammunition, three prohibited knives, an extendable baton, a BB rifle, digital scales, packaging, cell phones, and cash.

33-year-old Jessica MacMaster and 35-year-old Brendan Belzak, both from Oakville, have been charged with various drug trafficking and possession charges.

Both were held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
