Tugboat ‘Theodore Too’ partially sunk in Port Weller

The tugboat Theodore Too is reported to have partially sunk while in the dry dock at Ontario Shipyards in Port Weller.
The 65-foot replica of Canada’s Theodore Tugboat is currently partially submerged in the mud beside a dock at the shipyard.
In a statement to Seaway Ship Watchers Network, the vessel owner Blair McKeil says they are working on a plan to refloat the boat.
The ship watchers posted the statement from McKeil on X Tuesday evening that no one was reported injured.

McKeil told CHCH News that “At this time, the cause of this unfortunate incident remains unclear.”
“However, we are committed to executing a safe and successful refloat of our beloved Theodore TOO.”
In June 2021, Theodore Too was moved from Halifax to Hamilton.
