TTC crash sends four to hospital

Four people were taken to hospital after a head-on crash between a Toronto transit bus and a streetcar this morning.

Police say the two vehicles collided in the city’s east end around 10:30 this morning, after the streetcar derailed.

The area was immediately closed to traffic, but reopened early this afternoon.

Four people, including the bus driver, suffered minor injuries.

The crash comes just days after the TTC announced it was conducting a review of driver training, after a city bus struck and killed a 14-year old girl before Christmas.
