Trying to keep cars out of the Gore
A plan to transform Hamilton’s downtown core from vacant to vibrant took a tentative first step at city hall today.
Councillors have approved a pilot project to test a car-free initiative along a limited stretch on the south side of King Street. As Scot Urquhart reports, officials are hoping a new temporary pedestrian promenade will create a one-block wonder between Hughson and James.
