Trudeau optimistic Canadians stay ‘united’ as trade talks continue

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is optimistic Canadians will remain united during the reprieve of U.S. tariffs until next month.
Trudeau spoke in Ottawa Tuesday night, “we’re not out of the woods yet, we need to continue to pull together and be there for each other.”
Three Canadian ministers are in Washington this week following a 30-day pause on tariffs from U.S. President Donald Trump.
Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne, Defence Minister Bill Blair and Energy Minister Jonathan Wilkinson are meeting with Republican lawmakers to potentially stop tariff threats for good.
