Truck rollover blocks westbound 401

The westbound lanes of the 401 were closed for more than six hours through the morning rush hour after a tractor trailer collided with a minivan and rolled over early this morning.
The truck slid about 200 metres down the straight stretch of highway, blocking all lanes west of Mavis just after 1 a.m.
The driver of the truck was taken to Credit Valley Hospital with minor injuries, while the family in the minivan was not seriously hurt.
Emergency crews working on cleaning up were interrupted around 5:30 a.m. by a man who drove around the police barricade. His van ended up in the ditch after he jumped or fell out of his vehicle and was tackled by police.
That man was charged with driving on a closed highway and careless driving. The driver of the tractor trailer is being charged with careless driving.
Eastbound traffic was also slowing significantly at the crash site.
