Trio wanted in series of thefts targeting seniors in Burlington, Oakville

Police are looking for a group of men after a series of distraction thefts in Halton Region.
Investigators say there were four incidents in Burlington and Oakville between May 4 and 7 where a group of thieves targeted elderly women shopping in retail stores.
The men obtained the victims’ personal identification numbers from their bank cards while they were inside the stores and then distracted the women in the parking lot in order to steal the cards.
The trio then used the stolen credit cards to withdraw cash and make purchases.
The alleged thefts happened at a Burlington Walmart, and a Longo’s and Metro in Oakville on May 4. Another theft occurred at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Burlington on May 7.
Police say the estimated loss to the victims is more than $5,000.

The first suspect is roughly five-foot-ten, about 175 lbs, and was wearing black shoes, blue jeans, a blue coat, a Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap, and dark-rimmed glasses. The second suspect has a similar height and weight but was wearing black shoes, black pants, a black jacket and a white baseball cap with writing on it. The third man also has a similar height and weight and was wearing white and blue shoes, blue jeans, a blue coat, a white hooded sweater, and a green Toronto Maple Leafs hat.
