Transition fund for U.S. Steel retirees

Finance Minister Charles Sousa has released details about the government’s $3 million transition fund for U.S. Steel retirees who have had their benefits cut off.

He says up to $2 and a half million will be available prescription drugs  and up to half a million will be used for urgent dental care and other health services.

The fund is expected to be operating by January 1st, subject to court approval.
