Transit worker strikes picketer

A car trying to force its way through a picket line has hit a striking York Region Transit worker.

It happened in the bus loop at Richmond Centre, where members of the Amalgamated Transit Union are picketing.

Local 1587 President Ray Doyle says the worker wasn’t seriously hurt.

York police have been called but it’s not clear if charges will be laid.
