TransCanada pushing for Keystone X-L pipeline approval from Trump

TransCanada says it’s assessing how to engage with the incoming Trump administration, as Republican leaders push for approval of the Keystone X-L pipeline.
The Calgary-based oil giant says it is still fully committed to the project which was declined by President Barack Obama a year ago.
The top Republican in the U.S. Senate says he asked Donald Trump to reconsider approving the pipeline, which would move bitumen from the oilsands to the U.S. Gulf Coast.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he made the request during a meeting with the president-elect this week.
