Train kills TTC worker
Updated For the first time since 1982, a Toronto transit worker was struck and killed by a train.
Peter Pavlovski, 49, was killed by a service train on the subway line near Yorkdale shopping centre. He had 22 years experience. He was supervising a seven person crew when was killed.
A second worker was also hurt, and a third worker is being treated for chest pains after going into shock after witnessing the incident.
The TTC says they’ll be working closely with the ministry of labour during the investigation to find out exactly how it happened.
